Kerala Style Mathi Fry/Sardine Fry

  • 7 sardines, cut and cleaned
  • 1/2 tsp of tumeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of red chilly pepper
  • Half of lemon
  • 1/2 tsp of ginger paste
  • Salt to taste
  •  2-3 Tbsp of oil

Method :-

1. Make 2-3 slits on the fish. Mix all the dry ingredients with lemon juice ,to make thick paste,then rub the fish with this paste and let it sit for about 1 hour or overnight in the fridge .This will help the marinade to go inside those slits.
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the fish on the both sides until skin becomes nice and crispy.
